1. INTRODUCTION

These are the terms and conditions of artist-entrepreneur Merita Laurél represented by her company Gregor Art+Music, Hamburg, Germany in relation to mentorship and mentoring sessions offered to corporate and individual clients (so called ‘mentee’).

2. GENERAL

Please carefully read our terms and conditions document which applies to every mentoring session that Merita Laurél agrees to take. All conditions apply to the mentor and the client (mentee, the person receiving the mentoring).

Our terms and conditions have been designed to offer protection and peace of mind to all parties and to ensure the safety of the mentee, the client and the mentor.

3. ORDERS

3.1 When the client/mentee has placed an order on the website, a purchase agreement has been entered into between the client/mentee and Merita Laurél. Merita Laurél recommends the client/mentee to save the order confirmation for any future contacts with our customer service. The order confirmation is also the receipt that the purchase has been completed.

3.2 The client/mentee is responsible for ensuring that the information provided, such as email, name and address is correct and up to date.

4. PRICES AND PAYMENT

4.1 The prices on our website apply to orders placed on the website. All prices are shown including VAT (for delivery within the EU). VAT is not included in countries outside the EU.

Merita Laurél offers mentorship / mentoring sessions worldwide.

4.2 The client/mentee is responsible for any customs duties being paid to the customs or equivalent authority in the country to which the product / products are finally delivered.

5. MENTORING SESSIONS

5.1 Merita Laurél’s mentoring session appointments are offered to be booked exclusively on http://www.meritalaurel.com/mentorship . Our payment partner is PayPal. The client receives a payment conformation via e-Mail from PayPal right after purchase and a second e-Mail from Merita Laurél to confirm the appointment including sending the client the link to participate in the video call by Zoom. Please check our junk mail folder after purchase to get all information required to join the mentorship.

5.2  The client/mentee can always contact our customer service via e-Mail to: mentorship@meritalaurel.com in case of any questions concerning the mentorship. The customer service usually replies within 48 hours.

5.3 Both mentor and mentee will enter the Zoom video meeting in the proposed agreed time online. The client/mentee is responsible to be able to participate in a online video call on Zoom that requires internet access and an internet-capable device such as a computer notebook, tablet or smartphone. 

5.4  Using the audio function for the mentoring session is mandatory, while using the video function is voluntary for the mentee. 

5.5  Each mentoring session runs 50 minutes. In case that the client/mentee wants to end the session earlier, this is possible but will not reduce in any way the fee paid for the mentoring session.

6 CANCELLATION AND WITHDRAWAL

6.1 In case that the mentee cannot or does not want to join the mentoring session as booked, a minimum of 24 hours’ notice of cancellation is required via email to: mentorship@meritalaurel.com to declare an alternative date and time within 4 weeks after the initially booked date.

6.2 Once a mentoring session is booked by the client/mentee, Merita Laurél does not accept any refunds, but offers up to two alternative dates within 4 weeks after the initially booked date.

6.3 In case that the client/mentee does not agree to an alternative date within 4 weeks after the initially booked date, the mentoring session expires.

7 LATENESS POLICY

7.1 If the client/mentee is late for the session, the session will not be extended and will end at the appointed previously agreed time.

7.2 If the mentor Merita Laurél is late, additional time will be added to the session, or to a subsequent session.

8. CONFIDENTIALITY CLAUSE

As a mentor, Merita Laurél guarantees strict confidentiality towards third parties for her clients/mentees and the topics/information to be discussed during mentoring, which is comparable to the confidentiality of a licensed doctor. This confidentiality clause applies for an indefinite period from the first contact.

9. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Merita Laurél reserves the right to refuse a client's/mentee’s order without giving reasons. In this case, Merita Laurél will refund the rejected customer the price paid for the purchased mentoring session within 2 business days via PayPal™ transaction.

10. FORCE MAJEURE

Merita Laurél’s mentorship shall be exempt from damages and other measures if the performance of the agreement is prevented or delayed by any circumstance beyond our control, e.g. extreme weather, new / amended legislation, absent permits, war, fire, flood, labor market disturbances, technical problems, sabotage, unfavorable transport, terrorist attacks, changed governmental orders as well delays in the service by sub-suppliers due to circumstances set forth above. Merita Laurél shall inform the client/mentee accordingly if any such circumstances should arise, and if the situation has lasted more than six weeks, both the client/mentee and Merita Laurél have the rights to cancel the purchase with immediate effect.

11. CHANGES TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Merita Laurél may make changes to the Terms of Conditions for mentorship and mentoring sessions from time to time. When these changes are made, Merita Laurél will make a new copy of the Terms and Conditions available on its website.

Your continued use of our website after any changes to the Terms and Conditions means you accept the changes.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These General Terms and Conditions and any separate agreements in which we offer services to you shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
