The documentary
Merita Laurél's artist's journey began in 2012 with a "journey abroad": her first steps in the cutthroat music industry, culminating in success as an independent artist and entrepreneur for whom integrity was always more important than fleeting fame. She couldn't have foreseen that her breakthrough would come from abroad. The documentary portrays eight years as an artist, spanning periods abroad and her home base of Hamburg – from unexpected opportunities on the North African coast to pivotal moments in Paris, a winter spent in the South of France, and the ongoing development of digital tools to connect with her audience across continents and borders.
